aka St. Petersburg Leningrad

Today ... today is a strange day. The days that I cut hair (fine way to say that I peeled) are rare few days. Are those days of the month in which you feel tainted ... no ... I think it was. Come on, I have the cooler head than normal. Do not know if this helps me to think or bother me, because I'm thinking that I have constantly cold ... that mystery. I think the cold is a good thing, because it alerts us that's not hot, something more than evident. Recently (especially yesterday) someone told me that the cold does not exist. I tried to explain that so and so but nothing. For that special little person cold does not exist. Neither the dark (wtf) or evil (triple WTF). Say it was ultra-conservative Catholic xD. Unfortunately the only solution to these people ... do not know ... as you can not reason with them the only viable solution would be to isolate useful to study what nutrients we get from them for our personal use. It is curious how the above concept, since it illustrates perfectly the subject today. Today we will talk about an episode of World War II which was in situ human nature ... let's do this! Comment that there are a couple of pictures that may not be to your liking, but hey, that's life.

On the day of Leningrad.

All (almost) know the absurdity of war (that of Iraq, there were weapons of destruction letter or something). World War II was the scene to bring out the worst and the best of us humans. Great people made large and small gestures to help others, and others, unfortunately great too, endeavored to fuck but not staff to be able to quench their thirst for ... whatever. Hitler
all know, that Lord of funny mustache and looking constipated, responsible for the deaths of millions of people. He tried to cover a lot and ate a marker titanic proportions. Especially the Russian got folded. The wanted to conquer the hard way, and something bad that has Russia is that it's fucking great, and something even worse is that it's cold. The troops moved forward and saw only Russian steppes and snow cascoporro. From time to time were confronted with a city they conquered to add to his alleged "Empire." One of these cities was Leningrad.
Leningrad, a city dedicated to Lenin (now St. Petersburg), was once the cultural capital of Russia, but because of the war, as it came to nothing.

Leningrad was a problem for Hitler, as it was a great big city (3 million) and had no desire to spend money on keeping an enemy population. I did not want to spend money to bombard the city, as he wanted to keep working there to get his brother the electrician.
What did he do? He decided to besiege the city. What does that mean? So basically the city was isolated from the rest of the world. It cut off all communication by land routes, both roads and railways. The city was, as I said before, isolated from the rest of the world, so that people was slowly dying of hunger and cold. The people of Leningrad
knew they were going after them, so equip the city as best they could. They dug trenches, laid barbed wire, covered with tarpaulins strategic buildings to confuse the Nazi pilots and all those things that are done in the war. Also knew that the food would be a problem, so a road was built to the neighboring city of Tikhvin, where they brought supplies. Unfortunately conquered the city three days after the end of the road. Leningrad was under siege now. Officially, the site began on September 15, 1941 and lasted for 872 days.

The streets of Leningrad in a normal day.

is difficult today to imagine a situation, but these situations were real. The provisions that had the Leningrad would not last more than two months. I think I should not focus much on the details that come with cold Russian winter, up in a city where power was scarce. To warm up, they had to burn the library of Leningrad, Russia's largest at that time, being this fact gone deep into the hearts of the locals.
Families hundreds were dying because of hunger and cold. Of course, if you are in a city where there is little food, but there are plenty of people who die every day ... you do? Exactly ... you eat your neighbors. Had to resort to cannibalism and Dierna good account of dogs, cats, pigeons, rats and every living creature they saw. Yes, those were different times, times of war but in war as in love, anything goes. Now we are horrified by this, but bear in mind that we live in a society where people spent £ 1000 in a dog.

Luckily, Leningrad is on the banks of a lake, Lake Lagoga. The opposite shore of the lake was still controlled by the Soviets. The frozen lake was the only route for supplies for an entire city. It was named the Way of Life, a somewhat ironic name, since many people were killed by German fighters as they crossed the lake to get supplies to the city. Curiously, the truck was called the Road of Death.
many stories have emerged in that place ... I keep wondering about that as I write. How many parents saw their children die of hunger or cold? How many children saw their parents die? Many stories of misery is lost in oblivion because of the war? We'll never know.
If you know the story of the little Tatiana Savicheva, who with 11 years wrote in his diary and his family until he was dying alone, dying at the end too. I wrote about it long if you are interested. Tatiana many girls as they died? Never know.
But if we know that our beloved Blue Division, was part of the Axis forces to keep the city under siege. Of the 5600 who went to "help", 4000 did not return.

Tatiana and pages of her diary.

Nearly 2 million people died during the 872 days of the site, and why? Delusions of grandeur of a man who believed something more than the others. It is curious to observe how all dictators show similar patterns of stupidity. The latest case is the case of Niger, where the leader of the coup, which supposedly transmit cast the evil president (something bastard if it was), said he assumes power because things are very bad. Let one LoL.
Leningrad, the city where many people had to die so that another could live, where they saw the best and worst of man, even memories of that episode, strongly marked in the hearts of its inhabitants. Many say, Troy, Rome fell, Leningrad did not fall. " A pride for the country no doubt, but we must not forget that price. I think the final video that describes well the guerrda, also has a legendary voice. I hope that someday if any or some of all of you becomes a dictator, you leave before making nonsense of high caliber, know it's more complicated to understand people but it is more rewarding, so you know, understand, I said!
